Role
Concept creation, UX strategy, interaction design, and prototyping direction from initial idea through functional proof of concept.
Overview
This project explored a new model for service-based websites: replacing static navigation with a conversational interface that acts as a digital host. Instead of asking users to interpret menus, the experience guides them through spoken interaction, adaptive prompts, and responsive visual feedback.
The goal was to test whether a website could function more like a consultation than a brochure.
The Opportunity
Traditional consultancy websites rely on linear navigation, dense content, and assumed user intent. Early-stage companies and founders often arrive without clarity on what they need, making these structures inefficient.
This created an opportunity to design a system that:
Interprets intent rather than forcing selection.
Reduces cognitive load through guided discovery.
Demonstrates capability through interaction, not explanation.
Positions design as an active process rather than a static deliverable.
Concept
The experience was framed as a “Talking Host” model.
An AI-driven interface greets the visitor, asks why they are there, and dynamically presents relevant services through voice, motion, and minimal UI.
An AI-driven interface greets the visitor, asks why they are there, and dynamically presents relevant services through voice, motion, and minimal UI.
Users can:
Speak naturally to explore services.
Select topics if they prefer visual interaction.
Switch instantly to a traditional interface.
This duality ensures innovation without sacrificing usability.
Design Principles
1. Conversation Over Navigation
Information is revealed progressively, mirroring a real advisory conversation.

2. Radical Simplicity
A monochrome interface removes visual noise and reinforces clarity of purpose.

3. Motion as Communication
The animated waveform functions as both avatar and feedback mechanism, signaling listening, speaking, and responsiveness.

4. Optional Familiarity
Users retain control through an immediate fallback to conventional browsing.

Proof of Concept Approach
The project was intentionally developed as a rapid POC to validate behavioral and technical feasibility before scaling.
Phase 1: Interaction Modelling
Defined conversational pathways aligned to common consultancy entry points such as strategy, UX, web, and app design.

Phase 2: Technical Validation
Integrated browser-based speech recognition and synthesis to test real-time dialogue without requiring external infrastructure.

Phase 3: Experiential Layering
Introduced animated sound-wave visualization to replace anthropomorphic avatars, maintaining abstraction while conveying presence.

Phase 4: Dual-Mode Architecture
Designed a parallel traditional UI to ensure accessibility, performance resilience, and stakeholder confidence.

Advanced Design Thinking Contributions
This work extends beyond interface design into service design and behavioural UX.
Reframes websites as participatory environments.
Blends product interaction with brand storytelling.
Demonstrates how AI can support clarity rather than complexity.
Explores trust-building through guided digital dialogue.
Uses prototyping as a strategic research method, not just validation.
Outcome
The prototype establishes a new pattern for consultancy and product-led organizations: a website that behaves like an expert facilitator rather than a repository of information.
It validates that conversational UX can:
Accelerate user orientation.
Accelerate user orientation.
Differentiate professional services through experience.
Serve as both marketing surface and functional product.
